Rangers 1, Caps 3. Caps lead series 1-0. One down, three to go. Ovechkin (Green, Backstrom), Johansson (Oleksy) and Chimera (Perreault) scored in the second period.
Awesome goal by Ovi, just awesome. Quick hands, it's not a vintage Ovechkin, it's a new, re-invented Ovechkin.

Alright, here we are going behind the enemy lines... A very interesting analysis by Brian Leetch about the goal scored by Great Eight on power play...
Rangers-Capitals Highlights & Analysis -- 5/2
MSG's Al Trautwig, Brian Leetch, and Ron Duguay review all the key moments ...
Brian Leetch (starts @2:20)
If you watch this penalty kill you are aware how much Alex Ovechkin is the focus of this... You watch Ryan Callahan and he's sunk down low in front of the net because he is trying to eliminate that one-timer by Ovechkin. Which then, when you go back to the top... now you've got Callahan down low... allows a room for a shot and now Callahan's in between... he is not in front of the shooting lane with Ovechkin and yet not being able to block that shot either...The focus of Rangers PK is Ovechkin... and he still scores... let us enjoy it for a moment... the balm on the wounds... :-)
Now back to work... Good thing to hear that Caps are no threat to them, that they are not intimidated, thank you, Mr. Ron Duguay...
Slava Malamud of Sport-Express talked to Ovi after the game...
"No question, we are definitely playing a more attacking style of hockey now than we did last year," said Ovechkin. "Our defensemen shoot, we're following on rebounds. It's fun."
Were you nervous today since Rangers are your a constant contender in the playoffs?
Of course there was some nervousness... for about five minutes. But then it was gone, and we have played our game.
When Rangers are losing, they can play a bit dirty...
After the second period we said to each other that we would not pay attention to it and won't talk to the referees. It worked well for us.
It seems that the emotional momentum that Capitals had in the regular season was transfered to the playoffs without a problem...
Not really, of course it was hard not to play for four days, but we rested, gained strength and we were fresh. Now the most important thing is to recover and be ready for Saturday.
Let's go Caps!
